WE MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU TO VOLUNTEER,
& HELP MAKE A
REAL DIFFERENCE

We are breaking down the barriers to volunteering so that we can build a stronger, more accessible community.

We organise regular volunteering trips to Calais that you can join; where you will work directly with grassroots charities and support refugees for a few days or more; or we can provide support and information to help you plan your own independent trips.

By joining our community, you can make a tangible difference.

The charities who will be benefiting, are those that do not receive government funding or aid.

join PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU WHO WANT TO HELP & see HOW SUPPORTIVE THE EXPRieNCE OF VOLUNTEERING CAN BE.

By enabling good people to get involved in the refugee situation directly, we believe we can spread awareness, understanding and hope. And that by encouraging more people to be involved we can raise the voices of displaced people and empower change for good.

Lisa
Volunteering since 2015

"It was the moment I saw a young boy, the spit of my teenage son that I knew I’d keep returning to look out for these young people, as I hope somebody would do for my children if the tables were turned."

Clare
Volunteering since 2022

“Meeting all these incredible young refugees has inspired me to do more and made me realise that every small kindness helps.”

Karen
Volunteering since 2019

“Seeing mothers and children and being able to say hello and serve them warm food was just an amazing feeling, their smiles gave me hope and reassurance.”

Catherine
Volunteering since 2019

“My favourite work was getting out into the fresh air and packing up firewood with the wood yard team. The cold weather confirmed how crucial it was to be working here, as this wood will provide the only chance for some warmth for the refugees here.”

Marisa
Volunteering since 2022

“I knew I wanted to do something practical on the ground, I wanted to help refugees and the RefYouMe trips helped make it easy to do this."

Cara
Volunteering since 2022

“I met a young boy called Andrew on my trip, he made it to the UK and I now support him. I feel like he is one of my children at this point, I always think of my son Ethan who is the same age and how awful it would be if he was in this situation. We will continue to do what we can for Andrew and be there for him on his journey.”

Ben
Volunteering since 2019

“I was 17 when I first volunteered with my Mum, it was busy and I was tired by the end of it but I enjoyed the work and learned a lot about the refugee situation. I met lots of friendly people, felt like I had achieved something.”

Tee
Volunteering since 2022

“I met some incredible people from volunteers to refugees and it’s just inspired me to do more, since volunteering I’ve been involved in fundraising and awareness raising. Anyone can help with whatever they have to offer.”

Paul
Volunteering since 2022

“Many young lads are fleeing their countries to avoid being conscripted to fight or being killed, the vast majority are in desperate need which is why we must help.”
